The Purple Line, delivered as a PPP project, will connect Tel Aviv to the Bikat Ono area (Kiryat Ono, Or Yehuda and Yehud) The project includes the delivery of 64 km of standard-gauge track (1,435 mm) across at-grade, elevated, and underground sections, with 43 new stations planned along the alignment.

Major quantities:

  • 128 km of rail installation and encapsulation
  • 95,000 twin-block concrete sleepers
  • 50,000 m³ of concrete
  • Switches, crossings and expansion devices: 83 turnouts, 8 single crossovers, 11 scissor crossovers, 4 diamond crossings, 16 expansion joints.
  • 66 km of contact wire on the main line
  • 15 km of contact wire at the depot
  • 125 km of messenger wire
  • over 2,170 cantilevers
  • 154 section insulators
