Bergen Maintenance contract

Steconfer holds two railway maintenance contracts with Bybanen AS, covering the full scope of track and overhead catenary works, ensuring the continuous and safe operation of the Bergen light rail system.

Our teams carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all track components, switches and crossings, including tamping, welding and supporting infrastructure. We also maintain the entire overhead contact line system through regular inspections, adjustments and renewals.

These long-term contracts require high technical expertise and strict compliance with Norwegian railway standards. Through this partnership, Steconfer contributes to the reliability and performance of Bybanen’s network, delivering efficient, safe and sustainable maintenance services year-round.
