The Metro Rail Transit Line 7, also known as MRT-7, is a rapid transit line under construction in Metro Manila, Philippines.
When completed, the line will be 22.8 kilometres (14.2 miles) long, with 14 stations, and the first line to have a third rail electrification. When completed, the line will run from North Triangle Common Station in North Avenue, Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan up to the North Triangle Common Station in North Avenue, Quezon City.
The mainline comprehends the installation, testing & commissioning of a double plinth track, at-grade, elevated section and tunnel plus a depot facility with a 10 km ballasted track.
Working with Hyundai Rotem Company as our client, Steconfer has developed and proposed standards and procedures of high quality and guarantee through a Quality Control and Quality Assessment system supported by ISO 9001 standards for the provision of the following systems:
- Plinth Track Installation
- Ballasted Track Installation at Depot facilities
- Turnout Installation.
- Restraining (Check) Rail
- Stray Current
- Test & Commissioning
The General System Requirements of the Project are:
- The maximum design speed on Mainline: 80 km/h
- The maximum design speed in Depot (except test track): 15 km/h
- The maximum design axle load on Mainline: 17 t
- Track Gauge: 1435 mm
- Rail Profile : 54EI (previous UIC54)
- Track Structure: At-Grade, Elevated, Tunnel and Open-Cut section, Direct Fixation Track
- Track Structure in Depot: Ballasted Track
The Project is ongoing, and the production is now steadily increasing, targeting to accomplish the end Client’s expectations.
