The line will traverse Quezon City and Caloocan in Metro Manila and is envisioned to spur business and commerce at its intermodal terminal station in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan and had initially a 21 month construction period.

The mainline comprehends the installation, testing & commissioning of 23 km of double track in plinth along 14 stations (at-grade, elevated, tunnel and open-cut sections) plus a depot facility in ballasted track.

This project also includes the installation of special trackwork as:

  • 66 turnouts
  • Sets of transition rails and insulated rail joints
  • Expansion joints and buffer stops
  • Stray current collection system
  • Interface with 3rd rail system

After several events delaying the progress of this project, the production is now steadily increasing targeting to accomplish the end Client’s expectations.
