Steconfer is carrying out railway works at Elvas Station, within the scope of a contract promoted by Infraestruturas de Portugal, as part of the national railway infrastructure modernisation programme.
The works in progress include the upgrading of the station and its operational facilities, aiming to improve operational safety, accessibility and user comfort, while ensuring compliance with current technical and operational requirements for passenger rail services.
Steconfer’s involvement in this project reflects its experience in the execution of railway infrastructure works and its technical capability to operate in complex operational environments, in close coordination with the client and the relevant stakeholders.
This contract represents a contribution to the ongoing modernisation of the national railway network and to the improvement of public transport service quality, in line with sustainability objectives and the promotion of rail-based mobility.
