Hadarom Container Terminal, Port of Ashdod
Hadarom Container Terminal Ltd., HCT, and the Israel Ports Development & Assets Company, IPC, have entered into an agreement for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Southport Terminal in Ashdod, Israel. This is an important project to Israel in questions of maritime infrastructures. It will increase the availability, efficiency and development of the country for the import and export of goods by sea.
Steconfer was hired for the construction of the ASC and RMGC rail crane tracks.
ASC rails consist of the construction of 30 crane rails tracks in ballast with 388,67 m per straight single track, using MSR 87A rail. These works have started in April 2020 and today 86% of the project is executed with the conclusion previewed for June this year, following the transfer of the project to our client, Shapir Civil and Marine Engineering Ltd.
RMGC rails consist of the construction of 2 straight single crane rail in concrete beam track with 735 m per straight single track, using A100 rail. Steconfer started these works in March 2021 with the conclusion scheduled in one month time.
