The Elvas Station project is marked by the extension of the passenger platform between Tracks 1 and 2, a key intervention in the modernisation of the railway infrastructure and the improvement of service conditions for passengers.
On site, Steconfer has carried out a comprehensive range of civil engineering works, including new reinforced concrete platform structures, foundations, excavations, engineered embankments, drainage systems, paving works and the installation of two new passenger canopies, as part of a technically demanding project executed within an active railway environment.
This intervention forms part of the Eastern Line modernisation programme and demonstrates Steconfer's ability to deliver engineering solutions that contribute to a more efficient, safer and future-ready railway network, capable of meeting the challenges of sustainable mobility.
The result is a more robust, accessible and comfortable infrastructure for passengers, enhancing the quality of rail services and reinforcing the strategic importance of the Elvas rail connection.
